The inquiry learning project that I observed was successful in that students were able to present interesting public speeches in the topic of their choice and felt satisfied with the results. Inquiry could be improved with deeper levels of planning to incorporate more questions and information literacy skills. In observing this inquiry, I have learnt a great deal about implementing an inquiry search process. There are many resources available to support teachers in their role. Teachers must collaborate and provide opportunities for collaboration for their students. This interesting post from Judy Connell discusses why ICTs are about more than retrieving and evaluating information and why collaboration using ICTs is a must. http://heyjude.wordpress.com/2012/10/08/brain-gain-and-marc-prensky/
